EASTBAY
Works One-Stop Business and Career Centers
provide services for businesses, families, individuals
and youth |
seeking to
find a job or advance a career. The centers operate as
part of a regional alliance among four workforce boards
and other workforce and educational organizations within
Contra Costa and Alameda Counties.
The Workforce Development Board provides policy oversight
and performance accountability for four centers that provide
no-cost services in Brentwood, Concord, Pittsburg, and
San Pablo. In addition, the City of Richmonds Workforce
Investment Board, the Workforce Development Boards
partner, operates two centers in Richmond. |

workforce, the One-Stop Business and Career Centers provide
no-cost services such as:
Up-to-date job search resource libraries, linkages
to a broad range of education and training websites, online
listings for local, state and national job openings and
electronic resume posting
Skills assessment, job-search workshops, and job
placement assistance
Access to computers, fax machines and telephones
Referrals to community services
Child and elder care, transportation and health
care information
Youth Services
The Workforce Development Board and its Youth Council
are helping youth explore employment opportunities, chart
career paths and take advantage of job training services
offered through the EASTBAY Works alliance. |
